OPINION

CONNOR, Justice.

After a jury trial in the district court, appellant Brent Carey Randall was convicted of petty larceny1 and assault and battery.2 The superior court affirmed. Randall appeals these convictions, alleging that the state failed to prove a prima facie case of petty larceny and that prosecutorial misconduct denied him a fair trial.
