The instant case is a consolidation of three separate appeals made by defendants from actions commenced by plaintiff in Oakland County Circuit Court. The suits were initiated by plaintiff in an effort to compel defendants to reinstate him to his former position of detective sergeant on the Oakland County Sheriff's Department.
