This personal injury action arises from a January 29, 1971, accident at a railroad crossing in Van Buren Township, Wayne County, Michigan, between plaintiff's automobile and defendant's train. At approximately 8 p.m., plaintiff, Harvey Decker, Jr., was struck by a train owned and operated by defendant, Norfolk and Western Railroad, at the intersection of Martz Road and the Norfolk and Western's tracks...
