MORTON, J., delivered the opinion of the Court.

Appellants, Michael Akonom and Joshua Gregg, were tried jointly1 before a jury in the Criminal Court of Baltimore (Allen, J.) on two separate counts of murder and related handgun offenses. The jury found each of them guilty on two counts of first degree murder and also returned guilty verdicts on all outstanding handgun charges.
