Defendant was indicted for "involuntary manslaughter" by the causing of the death of another on June 21, 1975, without intention to do so by the commission of the unlawful acts of driving his motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquors or opiates (Code § 68A-902), by speeding (Code § 68A-1626), and by driving on the wrong side of the road (Code § 68A-302).
