Relator Mars Constructors, Inc. (appellant), brought this action in the name of the State pursuant to HRS § 507-17, upon a claim for materials and labor furnished under a subcontract with defendant-appellee Yamada and Sons, Inc., the general contractor with the State for the construction of the so-called Honokaa Bridge Job.
