Appellant was adjudged in contempt as a recalcitrant witness for refusing to answer questions propounded to him by a grand jury. This jury was investigating possible perjury, 18 U.S.C. § 1623, committed in connection with a prior grand jury inquiry into gambling, 18 U.S.C. § 1955.
