On a trial to a jury, the defendant was found guilty of the crimes of burglary in the first degree (General Statutes § 53a-101 [a] [2]) and of unlawful restraint in the first degree (§ 53a-95 [a]). As to the charge of burglary, the information more particularly alleged that the defendant unlawfully entered the dwelling of Sarah Grove in New Canaan with intent to commit a crime therein and in the course of committing the offense did intentionally...
