Defendant was charged in a two-count information with armed robbery, MCL 750.529; MSA 28.797, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2). On June 6, 1977, he pled guilty to the armed robbery charge in return for a promise to dismiss the felony-firearm charge and other charges arising out of a separate, unrelated incident and a promise not to proceed against defendant as a habitual offender.
