This appeal is from a judgment in the amount of sixteen thousand four hundred fifteen dollars and forty-seven cents ($16,415.47), entered on October 21, 1977, in favor of the Bank of Virginia - Potomac (appellee) and against Emmett M. Lanier, Jr. (appellant). The facts behind the entry of judgment may be briefly recounted.
