This is a condemnation suit wherein Trinity River Authority of Texas sought to acquire the fee simple title to a 26.5-acre tract of land for the purpose of constructing a lake known as the Livingston Reservoir. The case was tried before a jury and in response to a single special issue the jury found that the reasonable market value of the land in question was $400 per acre. Pursuant to the verdict, judgment was rendered against Trinity River Authority...
