Defendant first contends the trial court erred in allowing Detective G. D. Payne of the Greensboro Police Department to testify, over defendant's objections, for the purpose of corroborating the State's witnesses, Frank Campbell and Broughton Sutton. This contention is without merit, as the defendant cross-examined both witnesses and offered evidence contradicting their testimony.
