On the evening of April 30, 1976, Heidi Taylor, an eleven-year old girl, was walking to the store. She was approached by a man at approximately 6:30 p. m. who asked her if she would retrieve some money from under the seat of his car as his hands were too large to do it himself. The girl agreed and climbed in the back seat to search.
