The appellant, Barbara Ann Freeman, was convicted by a jury of murder in the second degree in the death of her husband on November 20, 1976. This crime is set out in Article 34, Section 02 of Chapter 21 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated and is commonly known as an Article 34 crime.
