This is a suit by Evangeline Bank & Trust Company on two promissory unsecured installment notes against Mary Guillory, the maker. Defendant pleads that the interest charged was usurious.

The first note was executed on June 10, 1976, reflecting the sum of $222.36 due plaintiff, payable in 12 installments of $18.53, the first payment due July 10, 1976. The second note was executed on June 18, 1976...
