Upon his appeal to the Court of Appeals, the defendant, in his case on appeal, assigned 25 alleged errors in rulings by the trial court. Eleven of these were not brought forward into the brief filed by him in the Court of Appeals and are, therefore, deemed abandoned. Rule 28(a) of the Rules of Appellate Procedure, 287 N.C. 679, 741.
