Lilla and Ollie Jones brought an ejectment action against William Johnson, seeking to recover possession of a tract of land in Stewart County. The jury found for the plaintiff and also awarded her $3,000 for the value of the land during Johnson's wrongful possession. The defendant moved for a new trial which was denied.
