Defendants Hammond L. Lewis and Charles Bliss were charged with armed robbery of the Fairway Grocery and the Corner Cupboard Store in Grays Harbor, Washington. After separate jury trials, both men were convicted and sentenced to concurrent 20-year terms and are appealing their convictions.
