Ben Wilson, Jeannie Collins, Dale Deverney, and Norman J. Smith were jointly indicted by the Orleans Parish Grand Jury for possession with intent to distribute heroin, a controlled dangerous substance, a crime denounced by Section 966 of Title 40 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.1 Prior to trial, defendants filed motions to quash the indictment on the ground that trial of the offense charged would constitute double jeopardy...
