This case arises out of competing claims to funds seized by Coventry police on February 1, 1972, pursuant to a search warrant authorizing a search of a house in that town. The search netted $4718.11 in cash, along with a quantity of drug paraphernalia.1 On the day of the search the Circuit Court from which the warrant had been issued instituted an in rem proceeding for adjudication of the seized articles as a nuisance...
