A jury on August 3, 1976, convicted Theodore Jackson of armed robbery, D.C.Code 1973, §§ 22-2901, -3202, and Roy Smith, Jr. of armed robbery and carrying a pistol without a license, D.C.Code 1973, § 22-3204.1 The court sentenced Jackson and Smith to prison terms of eight to twenty-four years each.
