The jury in this personal injury case entered a verdict for the plaintiff, James Scales (hereinafter referred to as "appellee"), finding appellee's employer, International Multifoods, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Supersweet"), and defendant St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Company (hereinafter referred to as "appellant"), each guilty of 50 percent of the causal negligence resulting in the injury. The trial court entered judgment against appellant
