Defendants have moved to dismiss this suit, which makes various allegations concerning the constitutionality of the national motto "In God We Trust" and, specifically, the use of that motto on national coin and currency. Plaintiffs have first alleged that 36 U.S.C. § 186, the statute making "In God We Trust" the national motto, is unconstitutional in that it violates the free exercise and establishment clauses of the First Amendment...
