DAVIDSON, J., delivered the opinion of the Court.

In the Circuit Court for Harford County, appellants Daniel W. Dail (Dail) and Hannah Dail, his wife, sued appellees Tri-State Motor Transit1 (Tri-State) and Wright Contracting Company (Contractor). The Dails claim damages for injuries sustained on 8 April 1974 when the pickup truck Dail was driving was struck by a tractor-trailer owned by Tri-State and driven by George E. Lewis.
