This appeal arises from alleged violations of the Kansas Securities Act, K.S.A. 17-1252, et seq. (since amended). The trial was to the Pawnee county district court which entered judgment in favor of the plaintiff Nadine Deets on the basis that defendant Hamilton Management Corporation was negligent in hiring the defendant Peggy L.
