This case arises from an attempt by the Faulk County Memorial Hospital to collect medical bills accumulated by Blanche Neilan in excess of $3,000 from Blanche and Bernard Neilan. A default judgment was entered against Blanche by the Circuit Court of the Third Judicial Circuit, sitting without a jury. The court found that Bernard Neilan was not liable for his wife's bills. The hospital appeals that decision...
