Appellant William Thigpen was arrested and charged with armed robbery, pursuant to his involvement in an incident that occurred on September 23, 1973. While acting alone, he unlawfully held a gun to the head of an individual and relieved him of his wallet containing $40.00. Initially, appellant secured an attorney, one Richard F.
