After a jury trial, defendant was convicted of battery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 38, par. 12-3) and sentenced to a term of one year conditional discharge (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 38, par. 1005-1-4). He appeals from his conviction, arguing that he was not convicted beyond a reasonable doubt, and that he was denied a fair trial when the State introduced evidence of an undisclosed...
