Defendants appeal separately as of right from a decision of the Workmen's Compensation Appeal Board granting plaintiff's application for worker's compensation benefits for a total and permanent disability. Since the two appeals share common issues and arise out of the same fact situation, they will be disposed of in one opinion at this time.

Plaintiff was injured during the course of her employment on June 20, 1964, when she lifted a tray of chickens...
