Following a bench trial in the circuit court of Cook County, defendant, Vussitino Love, was convicted of battery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 38, par. 12-3(a)) and sentenced to a 10-month term of incarceration. The only issue presented on appeal is whether the trial court erred when, at the close of the State's case in chief, it denied defendant's motion to dismiss for failure to name...
