Ralph Juan Quiroz-Carrasco, a felon, was tried before a jury and convicted of interstate transportation of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). On this appeal he attacks the legitimacy of the stop and search of his automobile which led to discovery of a .30 calibre semi-automatic pistol, a receipt for purchase of the firearm in New Mexico, and approximately 100 rounds of .30 calibre ammunition.
