On November 16, 1976, Albert Bensabat was convicted by a jury of conspiring to import cocaine, conspiring to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute, and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute. Bensabat was subsequently sentenced to fifteen years in prison on each count with the sentences to run concurrently. The defendant raises several errors on appeal, but only one of these is worthy of comment.
