In November of 1975, Air Force Sergeants Cleophia Neal and Lewis Sexton embarked on a trip from Omaha, Nebraska, to the Kansas City, Missouri, area. While travelling in Missouri, the defendant's automobile was involved in a one car accident which resulted in injuries to Sexton.
