Defendant Joseph Siegel was indicted for first degree murder in violation of R.S. 14:30, in connection with the armed robbery and murder of H. Alva Brumfield on May 25, 1973. On January 27, 1978 the jury found defendant guilty as charged and on April 28, 1978 defendant was sentenced to life imprisonment. Defendant assigned eight errors as grounds for his appeal.
