Defendant Samuel T. Waite was convicted on three counts of violating 18 U.S.C. § 2423 by persuading or inducing a 15-year-old girl to travel from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Las Vegas, Nevada, and to Rochester and Albany, New York, with the intent that she be induced to engage in prostitution.
