On July 2, 1976, the defendant herein pled guilty to the charge of unlawful delivery of more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of cannabis, in violation of section 7 of the Cannabis Control Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 56 1/2, par. 705(d)). The defendant was then sentenced to one year periodic imprisonment and fined $1000. On October 19, 1976, the McHenry State's Attorney filed a petition...
