James P. Richards was charged by the grand jury in the same indictment with thirteen separate counts of knowingly or intentionally possessing with the intent to distribute various controlled dangerous substances in violation of La.R.S. 40:966. Prior to trial, the indictment was amended to delete count ten; and, during trial, the state entered a nolle prosequi as to count two.
