JOSLIN, Justice.

On March 11, 1976, the defendant, Zachary S. Spratt, pleaded nolo contendere in the Superior Court to an indictment charging him with breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny. He received a 2-year suspended sentence and was placed on probation for 2 years. About 9 months later he rang the doorbell of a residence at which the police had just made a narcotics arrest.
