OPINION

BROCK, Justice.

This is an action for damages arising out of an automobile accident. The plaintiffs are the parents of a three year old girl who they allege was severely injured in an automobile accident resulting from the negligence of the defendants. The plaintiff father seeks to recover damages for his own psychic or emotional injury and his wife sues for the loss of her right of consortium.
