Plaintiffs Dr. Theril Reedy, Mrs. Versie Reedy, and Mrs. Betty Reedy Cole, whose building located in Clintwood, Virginia, was destroyed by fire, commenced in this court this action under 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981, 1983, 1985, and 2000d, claiming $280,000 actual damages and $560,000 punitive damages.
