This civil action was instituted in the Superior Court by six individuals, three of whom are members of the Providence City Council and the remaining three are officeholders of various city boards and commissions who were allegedly removed from office as a result of appointments made to the boards and commissions at a council meeting on July 12, 1978. The officeholders brought suit individually and on behalf of the class of persons who were purportedly removed...
