The present case is an action for breach of a contract entered into by the plaintiff, Japan Petroleum Co. (Nigeria) Ltd. ("Japan Petroleum"), and Ashland Oil (Nigeria) Company ("AON"). Both Japan Petroleum and AON are Nigerian corporations. The defendants are Ashland Oil, Inc. ("AOI"), a Kentucky corporation, and two of its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Ashland of Nigeria, Ltd., and Ashland Nigerian Development...
