Simon Sylvester Hayden, Jr., the appellant, was indicted for killing Shirley Yates and for killing and robbing Truong Huy Do. The crimes occurred on or about November 15, 1976. Hayden at this time was 15 years old. The juvenile court transferred the case to circuit court where Hayden was tried as an adult. The jury convicted him of two counts of first-degree manslaughter and one count of first-degree robbery...
