Petitioner James Martorano has moved for a new trial pursuant to Fed.R.Crim.P. 33, claiming that he was denied effective assistance of counsel in violation of the Sixth Amendment. Martorano is currently incarcerated after his conviction on each count of a four count indictment. Counts one and two charged him with conspiring to make and with making an extortionate extension of credit (loansharking) in violation of 18 U.S.C.A...
