OPINION

DOUGLAS, Judge.

This is an appeal from a conviction for forgery. The jury found that appellant had two prior felony convictions and assessed his punishment at life.1

The sufficiency of the evidence is not challenged.

The record reflects that a wallet and checkbook owned by Nelson Guy Runnels were stolen on July 8, 1974. The wallet contained, among other items, a Gulf credit card and a Rice Food Market...
