ELLETT, Chief Justice:

The defendant was tried before the court without a jury and convicted of the crime of rape. He was represented by counsel at all stages of trial. This appeal was taken and a brief filed by counsel for the defendant who, in consonance with the case of Anders v. California1 requested permission to withdraw from the case.
