BYRD, Justice.

The trial court found that John B. Sims was the natural child and heir at law of Claire Moore Sims, deceased and was entitled to a one-fifth interest in the estate of Claire Moore Sims. Appellant Burkett M. Sims appeals raising the following issues:

"I. The trial court erred in admitting into evidence a certified copy of a birth certificate from the State of Texas. II. The trial court erred in granting the appellee a new trial.
