CARRIGAN, Justice.

The petitioner Hudson was convicted by a jury of attempting to dispense a dangerous drug,1 and the court of appeals affirmed the conviction. People v. Hudson, Colo.App., 570 P.2d 839 (1977). We granted certiorari, and now affirm the judgment of the court of appeals.
