OPINION

HARBISON, Justice.

Petitioner, a member of the Tennessee Bureau of Criminal Identification, filed this suit for personal injuries sustained while he was engaged in a raid upon a gambling establishment near Chattanooga. Respondents are ten of the defendants to the action. A number of other persons were originally sued. Of these, some were never served with process, and they were dismissed. Five defendants failed to appear after service of process...
