Jack Steinberg died intestate on April 4, 1974. On April 10 respondent-cross-appellant Maxine Steinberg was appointed personal representative on the basis of a petition alleging that she was his widow.1 On October 21, 1974, the personal representative filed her final account and petition for decree of final distribution.
